Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky Distillery Bottling 70cl / 48%
Released in late 2022, this Glenallachie 16-year-old is a special edition bottled as part of the celebrations of the distillery's owner and Master Distiller Billy Walker's 50th Anniversary in the whisky trade. Glenallachie 16 Year Old Present Edition is the second part of a trilogy of these celebratory releases; the previous bottling was the now sold-out Past Edition, which was 100% sherry-matured.
This Glenallachie 16-year-old Present Edition celebrates Mr. Walker's open-minded mastery of cask management, being assembled from whiskies that started out in Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks before being in Japanese Mizunara oak and bottled at 48% without colouring or chill filtration. This will be another of the most sought-after new releases of the year.

I bought this as a present then did the tour with my brother at Lindores Abbey distillery in Newburgh Fife.The bottle i bought from Whisky-online was cheaper than at Lindores ,very happy again and a very quick delivery.
A fantastic line up of drams from Alistair's range, all presented at full cask strength. Alistair gave a very informative narrative of the independent bottling industry, with many anecdotes and experiences shared.
