A remarkable mystery single cask Old School Single Malt 50-year-old Coastal Edition single malt whisky released in 2026 at cask strength by independent bottlers Signatory Vintage as the third bottling in their occasional Old School series.
Bottled without colouring or chill filtration, this single cask 50-year-old Coastal Edition Old School Single Malt matured in an Oloroso sherry butt cask that yielded 672 bottles at its very respectable natural cask strength of 43.1%. Signatory have been pulling it out of the bag in spectacular fashion of late, and this mystery 50-year-old single cask looks like another sensational whisky at a great price for its age.

Some qualities of a real whiskey here it seems. Nothing wrong per se, some may prefer it one way or another, but, tastes nice overall to me. Being ultra picky... a bit sweet, and oddly a tiny bit bitter on the after taste. Still an enjoyable whiskey.
