Nose: Sugar sweet and honeyed initially, warming to intense and varied spices amongst the grist.

Palate: As dulcet as the nose suggests, with a piquancy still to the fore plus barley, nuts and syrup.

Finish: The spices are now cough-drop in style, with gentle oak merging with the earlier honey.
