This edition of Port Askaig Cask Strength Small Batch #1 has a cask recipe featuring 75% refill American oak hogsheads, with the remaining 25% from first fill toasted bourbon barrels and was bottled without colouring or chill filtration at a hefty natural cask strength of 59.4%. Port Askaig has long been one of the best value picks for fans of Islay single malts and this looks like another winner.
