An 11-year-old single cask Glentauchers 2012 bottled in 2023 without colouring or chill filtration by Alistair Walker for the Infrequent Flyers series.
This Infrequent Flyers Glentauchers 2012 11-year-old was finished in a puncheon cask (around 320 litres usually) that previously held Pedro Ximenez sherry, so naturally there'll be lots of delicious sweet, rich nutty dried fruit and patisserie spices at play. Cask 806202 yielded a total of 682 bottles at a robust natural cask strength of 57.1% - equivalent to the old 100 imperial proof.

Colour: Mahogany.
Nose: Nutella, cocoa, toasted coconut and a touch of cinnamon spice.
Palate: Mocha, dark chocolate, stewed raisins and sultanas. Homemade fruit loaf and caramelised treacle toffee, with a hint of trifle. There is a soft, creaminess here, with just a pinch of cloves at the close.
