Chateau de Gaube is one of the greatest of the boutique producers bottled by Darroze. Gaube use only the Baco grape variety, which tends to give one of the most strongly-flavoured spirits in Armagnac. At Chateau de Gaube the spirit is continuously distilled to a low 52% strength, retaining an enormous amount of congeners, and the brandy is aged in large oak vats, getting even better as each decade passes. This will be stunning stuff.
