Lowland Single Grain Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Brave New Spirits 70cl / 58%
A 16-year-old Port Dundas 2006 single grain whisky bottled in 2022 by Brave New Spirits for their splendid film noir tribute series Cask Noir. This Port Dundas is titled Ghost of the Canal, presumably in reference to the lost distillery's location on the Forth and Clyde, and its closure in 2010.
This 2006 Port Dundas 16-year-old grain whisky was bottled without colouring or chill filtration from a single first fill Lafite wine barrique #314747, at its poky natural strength of 58%, so expect plenty of red wine notes layered on the normal buttery popcorn and vanilla flavours.
