Hendrick's is the daddy of fancy new wave gin, causing a storm when it first appeared over 15 years ago. This cucumber and rose-petal gin with its perfect pastiche Victoriana arguably played a large part in the hipster revolution that followed, but we shan't hold that against them.

Unlike handlebar moustaches, Hendrick's has a longevity that has enabled it to survive the backlash, and this is entirely down to the fact that it remains a very good gin that makes an extremely enjoyable G&T, which when we get down to brass tacks is all that really matters.

How to make

Combine all ingredients in a highball glass filled with cubed ice.
Lightly stir and serve.
Garnish with 3 thinly sliced rounds of cucumber.
