Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Distillery Bottling 75cl / 43%
A very special edition Glenfiddich released in 1987 to celebrate the great Speyside distillery's Centenary year - in fact, this bottling was filled and sealed on Christmas Day 1986, exactly 99 years after the first ever Glenfiddich spirit ran from the stills, which happened on Christmas Day 1887.
There was plenty of this Glenfiddich Centenary about in 1987 - it was a limited run of just, erm, 12000 bottles - but nearly a quarter of a century later you don't see too many of these, and not surprisingly it's a cracking dram. You can't bottle any old toot for your Centenary after all.
