A Blair Athol 2006 16-year-old Highland single malt whisky from indie heroes North Star Spirits' Cask Series 21, this was bottled in 2022 after finishing in an Oloroso sherry hogshead.
Blair Athol is always a safe bet and is particularly well-suited to sherry casks, as fans of the early Flora & Fauna bottlings will already be well aware. This 16-year-old Blair Athol 2006 has clearly benefited from its time in the Oloroso hogshead, which turned out 287 bottles at a bracing 49.5%.
