An old bottle of the marvellous Glen Ord 30-year-old Highland single malt whisky, bottled at full cask strength in 2005 for owner Diageo's Special Releases. Now among the most famous official bottlings of Glen Ord, this 30-year-old was one of the stars of a particularly excellent Special Releases outturn that year.
An edition of 6000 bottles at an extraordinarily hefty cask strength of 58.7%, this Special Release Glen Ord 30-year-old is fantastically old school Highland style whisky, with tweedy, polished old oak and classical Highland waxy fruit flavours. A robust and impressively vigorous 30-year-old from one of the Highlands' greatest and most underrated distilleries.
