Description

Lowland Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Distillery Bottling 70cl / 46%

Released early in 2022, Daftmill 2010-2021 Summer Batch Release is a limited edition of 6250 bottles (of which just over 800 were held back for the UK), assembled from a batch of 25 first fill ex-bourbon casks distilled in the summer of 2010, which was the last season that Daftmill used the Optic barley strain.

This 'au naturel' style Daftmill is hugely popular, and of course any new Daftmill is always massively over-subscribed. As is now customary, this Daftmill 2010 Summer Batch will only be available to members of our VIP Club and we're going to be allocating our stock as below:

Please note that this product is only available to customers in our VIP Club, Maximum 1 Bottle Per Customer - duplicate orders will be deleted.

Tasting Notes

Official Tasting Notes

Nose: Drawn from the Summer production of 2010, this vatting of fresh bourbon casks gives wonderfully fruity aromas of tinned peaches in syrup, vanilla custard eclairs and sherbet lemons with a touch of hazelnut spread developing after a bit of time breathing in the glass.

Palate: The palate is invigorating and vibrant bringing notes of sweet brioche, butter popcorn, lemon zest and an almost hop-like fruitiness before developing some fuller notes of dried apricot.

Finish: The gentle finish shows a touch more vanilla and some lingering spice.  A wonderfully rounded, well balanced Daftmill that begs to be quaffed on a warm summer’s day, if you have the willpower to make the bottle last until then.
