Released in 2022, Glenallachie 8-year-old is a welcome addition to the distillery's core range. Assembled by Glenallachie's head honcho and maestro warehouse digger Billy Walker, the majority of this whisky is from Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry puncheons, with a smattering of virgin oak and red wine barriques.
Glenallachie 8-year-old has been bottled at an easy-drinking 46%, and as you'd expect from a Billy Walker distillery, it's been bottled without colouring or chill filtration. A great entry-level Speyside whisky from one of Scotland's fastest-rising distilleries.

Colour: Sunset Bronze.
Nose: Heather honey, butterscotch and cinnamon, followed by waves of ginger, toasted almonds and mocha.
Palate: Lashings of treacle, dried sultanas and butterscotch, with cinnamon, peppermint and honeycomb.
