Lowland Single Grain Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Cooper's Choice 70cl / 49.5%
A 28-year-old Strathclyde 1993 Lowland single grain whisky bottled by Vintage Malt Whisky Co. for their Cooper's Choice range. Strathclyde, you'll remember, is Chivas Brothers' grain distillery in the Gorbals district of Glasgow and will be celebrating its centenary in 2028.
This Cooper's Choice 1993 Strathclyde 28-year-old is a single ex-bourbon cask bottled without colouring or chill filtration in 2022, and yielded 198 bottles at 49.5%. Long-aged 'natural' grain whiskies like this are usually great drinkers, and of course as a grain whisky it's terrific value for money.
