Kilchoman Founders Cask is a single cask Kilchoman from the 2012 vintage, bottled in 2023 as an 11-year-old without colouring or chill filtration.
Originally maturing in a pair of ex-bourbon barrels, this 2012 Kilchoman was racked into a larger Calvados cask to finish for over two years before being released in an edition of just 517 bottles at its natural cask strength of 54.8%. Calvados seems to be a good match for clean, powerful Islay whiskies like Kilchoman, so this should be delicious.
