Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky Bottled by: James Eadie 70cl / 51.4%
A single cask Glenlossie 2008 13-year-old Speyside single malt whisky released in 2021 by independent bottlers James Eadie as an exclusive bottling for Scottish retailer Robbie's Whisky Merchants in Ayr.
This 13-year-old Glenlossie 2008 came from single cask 362235 and was finished in a European oak first fill Oloroso sherry hogshead for six months before bottling at its natural cask strength of 51.4%. Glenlossie is a Diageo Speyside workhorse distillery whose whisky is generally quite light and grassy, but there have been a handful of excellent sherried indie bottlings of late and the distillery's obscurity ensures that prices are always very reasonable.
The product price on margin items include VAT which must not be shown separately or reclaimed as input tax. Input tax has not been and will not be claimed in respect of the margin goods sold.

Balmenach was a new Distillery to me that is probably better known these days for it's Gin production. I've tried quite a few of the SV 100 Proof offerings and have yet to be disappointed. I have found that Balmenach Whisky isn't that easy to get hold of so this was a good opportunity to try it and I was nicely impressed. If you like sherry bombs you'll probably like this one.
