Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky Bottled by: Gordon & MacPhail 26 2/3 Fl.Ozs. / 70 Proof
This 38-year-old Glen Grant from Gordon & MacPhail was bottled in the 1970s and reputedly comes from 1936 stock.
Entirely matured in sherry, this is a sublime example of classic, pre-war style Speyside distillate.
Waxy, massively fruity, subtly peaty and full of tiny sub-complexities such as quince, spices, rancio and old pipe tobacco.
A beautiful and extinct style of whisky that anyone serious about whisky should endeavour to taste.

Raisin and chocolate aroma and a taste of sherry with dried fruits and nuts and a little spice. Dry almost savoury despite the fruits with wine gums in the finish. (Taken with a good slug of water).
