This 1988 Glen Grant 25-year-old came from Cask DL17784, a single refill barrel that yielded 193 bottles at a lip-smacking 54.1% natural cask strength. Glen Grant's immaculate spirit really starts blooming at this sort of age and should show its quality wonderfully from this refill barrel.

Nose: Opens in a robust archetypal Speyside style with hues of citrus fruit plus mixed unsalted nuts, barley and later autumnal fruit.
Palate: Subtle oak on the palate as it opens, now with a little cheek- puckering saltiness, ahead of butterscotch, cherry and marzipan flavours, dusted with icing sugar.
Finish: A finish carrying more macerated, red fruit mixed amongst attractive cereal and spices.
