An old 1990s bottle of Glenfiddich Special Old Reserve. This particular edition is labelled as Pure Malt, though of course that nebulous term was never properly defined - in this case it means pure single malt from Glenfiddich but some other producers also used the term for vatted malts.

This particular bottle of Glenfiddich Special Old Reserve was one of the bottlings from this era done at the higher strength of 43% rather than the normal 40%, adding a welcome extra oomph to Glenfiddich's trademark light, grassy Speyside style.
