A bottle of Macallan 15-year-old Fine Oak Speyside single malt whisky released by the distillery at some point around 2010 or thereabouts.

Macallan’s Fine Oak range was first introduced in 2004 and caused a rumpus among whisky fans at the time, as the series featured whisky matured in ex-bourbon casks as well as the sherry casks that the distillery had defined itself by up to that point. Now that some time has passed the Fine Oak whiskies can be judged on their own merits; the 15-year-old Macallan Fine Oak has always been a very sippable, elegant afternoon whisky.
