A single cask Auchentoshan 1981 15-year-old Lowland single malt whisky released in 1996 or 1997 by mail order independent whisky bottlers Direct Wines for their First Cask series.
This 15-year-old Auchentoshan 1981 came from single cask 1154, bottled without colouring or chill filtration at 46%. Independent Auchentoshan is vanishingly rare - this was one of a handful of sister casks bottled by First Cask and Signatory in the late 1990s.
