Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Murray McDavid 70cl / 50%
An 8-year-old Caol Ila 2014 bottled as a small batch without colouring or chill filtration by Murray McDavid for their Benchmark range.
This Caol Ila ended its maturation in Pauillac red wine casks from Chateau Latour after initial maturation in bourbon hogsheads, and is a small batch of 1399 bottles at the slightly higher-than-normal strength of 50%. This should be an interesting combination of Caol Ila's briny smoke and Latour's tart red berries and tobacco hints.
