Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky Bottled By: Duncan Taylor 70cl / 51.5%
A single cask Macallan 1968 37-year-old Speyside single malt whisky bottled in 2005 by Duncan Taylor for their acclaimed Rare Auld series.
This 37-year-old Macallan 1968 was bottled from single cask 5583, one of several 1968 single casks released by Duncan Taylor around the same time. Just 94 bottles of this beauty were released from what seems likely to have been a second or third refill sherry cask, and was bottled at its natural cask strength of 51.5% without colouring or chill filtration. A very rare chance to taste long-aged indie Macallan distilled in the 1960s.

Great value bottle from Signatory - full of rich Madeira notes and slight edgy funk of the distillate come together beautifully! Takes water very well.
