This Bowmore Islay single malt was distilled in 2004 and matured for 14 years in a 1st fill bourbon cask. It was specifically selected for the distillery visitors centre hand-filling program. Cask 378 was available for visitors to bottle themselves in October 2018, at which point the whisky was at a natural cask strength of 59%.

As you may know, these hand-filled bottlings are only available at the distillery for a very limited time—typically lasting only a week or two before the cask is finished and replaced. It is often a matter of luck to find such a specific cask available, and it remains a highlight for anyone visiting the distillery.
