A Glen Albyn 1976 Speyside single malt whisky released by Gordon & MacPhail as part of their Distillery Labels range. This edition was bottled in 2012, making the whisky at least 35 years old.
This 1976 Glen Albyn came from a small batch of casks and has an impressively rich sherry character for its 43% strength. Glen Albyn is one of the more obscure closed distilleries and was an old school Highland dram. This is one of the most approachable and enjoyable of the later bottlings from this lost Highlander.
