Bottled at a full strength 40%, despite its brief time in the sun Glenfiddich Malt Whisky Liqueur attracted a cult following thanks to its base of top quality Speyside whisky, along with select spices, and has delicious notes of chocolate and honey. The remaining stock of these 500ml bottles are now highly sought after and often change hands for over ten times the original RRP - perhaps this was an experiment that should be revived...

Complex with subtle dried citrus, raisins as I would usually like in a sherry cask but something (the smoke, grape skins ? from the sherry cask?) unwelcome reminds me of grappa.
