Macallan Reflexion is part of the distillery's Masters Decanter series, and is packaged in an eye-catchingly sharp, angled, tapering decanter to show off the whisky's deep natural colour.

This colour is the result of the Macallan Reflexion's maturation in first fill American and Spanish oak sherry-seasoned casks. The intensity of colour is said to result from the use of a large number of hogsheads, which have a higher surface area to volume ratio than traditional sherry butts and therefore ensure a greater level of interaction between the whisky and the inner surface of the cask.
