Glen Spey is a Diageo workhorse with the majority of its spirit going into the blended whisky J&B, but what we have here is nothing like you'd expect, its a sherried stunner from Alistair Walker.
This 13-year-old Glen Spey 2006 was bottled from a single Pedro Ximenez sherry puncheon cask #4828 without colouring or chill filtration at a natural cask strength of 57.5% with a yield of just 613 bottles.

Alistair's Tasting Notes Colour: Rich mahogany. Nose: Burnt treacle toffee and molten molasses. Taste: Unctuous. Intense and fantastically viscous. Chewy. Sultanas, Morello cherries and dark chocolate - Black Forest gateau. Sweet and syrupy - huge sherry cask influence here. Finish: Velvety, long and super intense.
