An old bottle of Courvoisier's VSOP cognac, made entirely with Fine Champagne eaux-de-vie. This particular example was bottled in the 1990s, shortly after the introduction of the Josephine bottle featuring the elongated neck.
"Fine Champagne" is used here to signify that the cognacs used in the assemblage for this VSOP were sourced exclusively from the Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne regions, which are the two most prestigious growing areas in Cognac.
