Glen Scotia (pronounced: glen SCO-sha) distillery in Campbeltown is regarded by some with indifference while it inspires loyal affection in others.  Until recently it was not well known by casual whisky drinkers, and of course it has long been branded the 'other' Campbeltown distillery.

While not as majestic or cult inspiring as neighbour Springbank and often more inconsistent in its product, there are many excellent bottlings of Glen Scotia to be found, and in recent years the distillery has found wider success and recognition. Glen Scotia remains a distinctively coastal and flavoursome single malt style that is becoming a rarity in Scotland these days.
