Bottled by: Hunter Laing 70cl / 50%
A fantastic single cask, single malt scotch whisky bottled by Hunter Laing to celebrate their 20th Anniversary of the Old Malt Cask Series...
A 1999 single cask Teaninich bottled by Hunter Laing to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their Old Malt Cask series. Bottled in August 2018 as a 19-year-old with a yield of 284 bottles from a refill hogshead.
Teaninich was founded and built in the grounds of Teaninich Castle in 1817 by Captain Hugh Munro, a Napoleonic war hero. The distillery continually expanded over the years and changed hands a few times, but it was the large expansion in 1970 to greatly increase production. A second distillery was built "Teaninich A" and both ran simultaneously until 1984 when the original distillery was closed. The distillery mainly produces whisky destined for Johnnie Walker Red Label. There are no official bottlings of Teaninich as so most bottles are seen bottled by independent bottlers like here with Hunter Laing.
