This unnamed Islay whisky initially spent 10 years in a single bourbon barrel. Fifty litres were then taken and finished in a small ex Pedro Ximinez octave from Josafer Tanoaria. The result is a dram packed full of candied fruit, raisins and seashells with a very low yield of 66 bottles...
This single cask Islay whisky was distilled in August 2009 at an undisclosed distillery and matured for 10 years in a single bourbon barrel #7c before being transferred to a px octave and finished for a small period of time. It was then bottled in January 2020 at a cask strength of 57.9% by Hannah Whisky Merchants for the Lady of the Glen Series with a yield of just 66 bottles.
Nose: Sea air with hints of citrus.
Palate: Seashells, figs and salted caramel.
