This early release of 1970 St Magdalene was kind of overshadowed to an extent by the petrol flavoured legend that was the later 19yo release. However this remains a sleeper favourite amongst St Mag aficionados. Tremendously old school, aromatic and viscous this is a serious slice of history.
A glorious mix of light peats, herbs, oils, fruit notes, metallic aspects, wax, honey, hessian, dunnage, citrus and minerals. Like a cask strength Riesling if such a thing were ever to exist.
