St Lucian Rum
Distillery Bottling 70cl / 43%
A bottle of the first edition of Saint Lucia Distillers' 1931 series of limited release rums, which were originally introduced in 2011 to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Dennery distillery in the Mabouya Valley 1931. Dennery merged with Roseau distillery in the early 1970s to form St Lucia Distillers.
This first release 1931 rum is a blend of 7-12 year old rums distilled between 1999-2004 on Vendome and John Dore pot stills and a Coffey continuous still and was a small batch of seven American oak casks from Buffalo Trace, Jim Beam and Jack Daniel's, plus a couple of port pipes. This bottle is from Batch 1, and was bottled in May 2011.
The original series of 1931 rums ran from 2011-2016, after which the 1931 brand was absorbed into SLD's flagship Chairman's Reserve range. These first edition 1931 rums from St Lucia Distillers are now real collectors items for rum aficionados.
Please note that St Lucia Distillers 1931 Rum is available to VIP Members only until 20/06/22 at 10:00 BST, with any remaining stock then going on general sale. This rum is Strictly 1 Bottle per Customer and is not eligible for discount codes.
