The 1971 18yo from Macallan. Distilled in the era before modernisation and a shortage of sherry casks took hold. This is wonderful, old style, unctuous sherried whisky. One of the many reasons why Macallan has the reputation it does today.


Expect lots of figs, walnut oil, balsamico, leather, touches of cured meats and dark fruits in this one with a pristine sherry cloak holding everything together. Wonderful whisky.
