Matured in a single refill barrel, cask DL17869, this Islay whisky was bottled at natural cask strength of 57.3%, without colouring or chill filtration, with 264 bottles produced.

Released exclusively for German whisky retailer DeinWhisky.de, this single cask bottling offers an opportunity to explore Laphroaig's distinctive peated character. Founded in 1815 on the southern coast of Islay, Laphroaig is known for its heavily peated malt, producing whisky with characteristic medicinal, maritime and smoky qualities.

Douglas Laing's tasting notes from the label suggest an opening of sweet peat, apricot jam and hints of chimney soot on the nose. The palate brings covered bacon, toasted barley, cinnamon and buttery pancakes, while the long finish develops lingering phenolic smoke alongside a briny, oceanic quality.

Please Note: This bottle is a part of a large batch of bin-ends we recently picked up at a great price, enabling us to pass on savings to our customers. However, only one or two bottles of each product were included in the parcel - so when they’re gone they’re gone! Please note that due to the size and nature of this batch of stock, some labels and boxes may show signs of wear.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0442/9293/1743/files/14432Laphroig2012-2024_12YearOldDouglasLaingOldParticularSingleCaskDL17869.jpg?v=1793362219
https://www.whisky-online.com/products/laphroaig-2012-2024-12-year-old-douglas-laing-old-particular-single-cask-dl17869
