As with other releases in the Provenance series, it was bottled without chill filtration or added colouring.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDouglas Laing's Provenance range focuses on single cask and small batch whiskies selected to showcase the individual character of their respective distilleries. This particular cask was bottled exclusively for SAS Distribution.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eJura's island location gives the distillery an unusually remote setting, with the island home to only a few hundred permanent residents. Despite being geographically close to Islay, Jura is classified as a Highland distillery and its spirit is generally produced in an unpeated style, making independently bottled single casks an interesting opportunity to explore the distillery beyond its regular releases.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDouglas Laing's Tasting Notes: A warming, spiced oak style gives way to vanilla custard and a touch of caramelised fruit. The palate is thick and creamy – detect coconut with a salted chocolate style and barley sugar.
