A rather remarkable old bottle of Glenfiddich Special Pure Malt Speyside single malt whisky. This edition was bottled at 70 proof (40%) in the 1950s - before the launch of the iconic triangle style bottle that came to define the distillery. 

This Glenfiddich Special comes from the era before the widespread marketing of officially bottled single malts, a time when the distillery released small quantities of its whisky as a single malt but the majority of production and strategy was still very much focused on Standfast and the other Grant's blended whiskies. A remarkable piece of liquid history in very good condition for its age.
