Owned and operated by the Cuthbert family, the distillery began production in 2005 and operates seasonally, with distillation taking place during quieter periods in the farming calendar. Production remains extremely limited, with the family concentrating on growing barley and managing the estate throughout the rest of the year.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe barley used for this release was Publican, grown in the farm's 43-acre field and harvested by John and Sandy Cuthbert on 28th and 29th August 2009. Following harvest, the barley was dried and stored on the farm before being malted in Alloa during the summer of 2010.
