After a lengthy period of closure it returned to production in 1965, eventually taking the Caperdonich name before closing permanently in 2002. The distillery was subsequently dismantled, making its increasingly scarce surviving stocks a fascinating part of Speyside whisky history.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis 30-year-old was matured in a refill hogshead and bottled from a single cask, DL18182, yielding just 281 bottles at a natural cask strength of 49.7%.
