Matured in a single refill hogshead, cask DL17621, this Islay whisky was bottled at a natural cask strength of 56.1% without colouring or chill filtration, with 315 bottles produced.

Founded in 1846, Caol Ila Distillery is situated on the north-eastern coast of Islay, overlooking the Sound of Islay towards Jura. Known for its distinctive maritime character and balanced peat smoke, Caol Ila produces a spirit that combines coastal influences with citrus, malt and gentle sweetness.

Douglas Laing's tasting notes from the label suggest aromas of damp earth and chimney soot alongside tar on a warm summer's day. The palate is oily and mouth-coating, with peated malt, sweet barley and BBQ'd meat, leading to a long, lingering finish with peat bogs and warm ash.

Please Note: This bottle is a part of a large batch of bin-ends we recently picked up at a great price, enabling us to pass on savings to our customers. However, only one or two bottles of each product were included in the parcel - so when they’re gone they’re gone!
