Matured in a refill butt, this single cask release was bottled at 48.4%, with an outturn of 588 bottles.

Unlike Bunnahabhain's traditionally unpeated single malt, Moine is produced using heavily peated malted barley, offering a smokier side to the Islay distillery's character. These peated releases are particularly interesting when matured in sherry casks, bringing together peat smoke and rich, fruity flavours.

Douglas Laing's tasting notes on the label suggest honey and burnt raisins on the nose, followed by tobacco, ginger and spices on the palate. The finish is described as long and warming, with sweet barley and home-baking flavours.

Bottled without colouring or chill filtration, this is a mature, peated Bunnahabhain from Douglas Laing's Old Particular Midnight Series.

Please Note: This bottle is a part of a large batch of bin-ends we recently picked up at a great price, enabling us to pass on savings to our customers.
