This is Bottle No. 001, making it a particularly appealing example. This cask was bottled exclusively for The Whisky Exchange.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBowmore from this period has become increasingly sought after, particularly well-aged examples matured in sherry casks. Here, more than two decades in a refill sherry butt should allow Bowmore's characteristic maritime, smoky character to remain prominent alongside the influence of the sherry wood.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDouglas Laing's tasting notes describe stewed fruits, fallen pears and red apples alongside new leather and wet oak on the nose.
