Matured in a single refill butt, cask DL15960, this whisky was bottled at natural cask strength of 56.0%, with just 507 bottles produced.

Released under the Big Peat's Finest name, this single cask bottling comes from an undisclosed distillery on the Scottish island of Islay. Although Douglas Laing's traditional Big Peat releases are blended malts combining whiskies from several Islay distilleries, this particular release is a single malt from one unnamed distillery.

Douglas Laing's tasting notes from the label suggest a whisky with tarry ropes, medicinal qualities, lingering Islay character and a touch of iodine, reflecting the distinctive coastal and peaty style associated with the island's single malts.

Please Note: This bottle is a part of a large batch of bin-ends we recently picked up at a great price, enabling us to pass on savings to our customers. However, only one or two bottles of each product were included in the parcel - so when they’re gone they’re gone!
