Nose:
Aromas of panettone and candied lime lead.

Palate:
Flavours of white chocolate, lemon truffles and hazelnut balance perfectly on the palate.

Finish:
Sweet citrus returns on the finish with blood orange accompanied by notes of toasted oak.

This Italian Collection Tomatin 2010 12-year-old spent a decade in ex-bourbon casks before a two year finishing period in casks that previously held the Italian fortified wine Marsala, and was bottled as a small batch without colouring or chill filtration at the great drinking strength of 46%.

Aromas of poached pears and traditional rhubarb and custard sweets lead.

Palate:
On the palate notes of strawberry jam are accompanied by Turkish delight and light butter pastry.

Finish:
The finish is rich with cinnamon spiced red apple.

Tomatin's Italian Collection is a trio of these 2010 vintage small batches finished in different Italian wine casks. This Tomatin 2010 12-year-old ended its maturation in casks that previously held the classic Italian red wine Amarone, and will likely have picked up plum and cherry flavours to complement Tomatin's patisserie Highland style.

Light tannin and sugared almonds linger on the finish.
