Mortlach 1999-2019 | 19 Year Old | Connoisseurs Choice Cask Strength
Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Gordon & MacPhail 70cl / 57.2%
A beast of a Mortlach bottling here from G & M at 57.2%. That being said, it is full of delicious sweet flavours being fully matured in a 1st fill bourbon cask...
Batch 19/071 is a 1999 Mortlach bottled in 2019 by G&M for their new and improved Connoisseur's Choice range. G&M have also spiced things up and bottled this one at a natural strength instead of the usual 46%. It was matured for 19 years in a refill bourbon barrel that yielded a mere 184 bottles.
The Connoisseurs Choice series is an iconic series that started in 1968. To date, around 100 distilleries have been featured as part of the range, with over 2,000 individual bottlings. Each label on each bottle states all the information about the whisky inside such as cask type, strength, region, vintage and tasting notes.
