Miltonduff 1988-2019 | 30 Year Old | Connoisseurs Choice Cask Strength
Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Gordon & MacPhail 70cl / 53.1%
With very few official Miltonduff bottlings released it is down to the independents again to bottle whisky from this lovely distillery. Generally floral, light and fresh in character. Lets see what this one is all about...
Batch 19/044 is a 1988 Miltonduff bottled in 2019 by G&M for their new and improved Connoisseur's Choice range. G&M have also spiced things up and bottled this one at a natural strength instead of the usual 46%. It was matured for 30 years in a refill bourbon barrel that yielded a mere 110 bottles.
The Connoisseurs Choice series is an iconic series that started in 1968. To date, around 100 distilleries have been featured as part of the range, with over 2,000 individual bottlings. Each label on each bottle states all the information about the whisky inside such as cask type, strength, region, vintage and tasting notes.
Nose: Sweet ripe apple compliments orange peel and a subtle hint of vanilla.
Palate: Malted cereal notes develop on the palate alongside cracked black pepper and a hint of lime zest.
