A fantastic single cask, single malt scotch whisky bottled by Hunter Laing to celebrate their 20th Anniversary of the Old Malt Cask Series...
A 1998 single cask Inchgower bottled by Hunter Laing to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their Old Malt Cask series. Bottled in August 2018 as a 20-year-old with a yield of 268 bottles from a refill hogshead.
Built in 1871 by Alexander Wilson and using the equipment to do so from the Tochineal Distillery. Wilson went bankrupt in 1936 and so Buckie town council stepped in and purchased the site until Arthur Bell & Sons purchased the distillery before Bells was absorbed into DCL and now what is called Diageo. It is used predominantly in blends such as Bell and also Johnnie Walker. Very few distillery bottlings have been released and the bulk of single malt releases comes from independent bottlers like this.
