Highland Park 2002-2019 | 16 Year Old | Connoisseurs Choice Cask Strength
Island Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Gordon & MacPhail 70cl / 57.9%
The Highland Park bottlings that we have had on the shop from G & M in the past have always sold very well. This won't be an exception. A great example of a single cask, cask strength Highland Park...
Batch 19/134 is a 2002 Highland Park bottled in 2019 by G&M for their new and improved Connoisseur's Choice range. G&M have also spiced things up and bottled this one at a natural strength of 57.9% instead of the usual 46%. It was matured for 16 years in a single refill sherry butt #13601101 that yielded just 672 bottles.
The Connoisseurs Choice series is an iconic series that started in 1968. To date, around 100 distilleries have been featured as part of the range, with over 2,000 individual bottlings. Each label on each bottle states all the information about the whisky inside such as cask type, strength, region, vintage and tasting notes.
Nose: Rich dark chocolate and ginger aromas complement notes of caramelised orange peel.
Palate: Sweet golden syrup with bursts of grapefruit zest transform into soft chilli spice.
Finish: Delicate aniseed.
