Glen Grant 1956-2019 | 62 Year Old | Mr George Centenary Edition
Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Gordon & MacPhail 70cl / 51.7%
A stunning 62-year-old Glen Grant bottled by Gordon & MacPhail as a tribute to what would have been Mr George Urquhart's centenary year...
This whisky was distilled and laid down by Mr George on the 13th December 1956 in first fill sherry butt #4455 that was made specifically to his requirements. With Glen Grant being his favourite distillery it is a fitting tribute that his Grandson, Stuart Urquhart selected this cask for bottling some 62 years later on 27th June 2019 with an outturn of 235 bottles and bottled at 51.7%.
Official Tasting Notes
Nose: Sherry aromas give way to caramelised brown sugar.
